ABOUT ME

Welcome to my research space! My work centers on understanding how human activities impact the delicate balance of ecosystems. I am particularly interested in anthropogenic noise pollution and its effects on aquatic environments. Sound propagates faster and over greater distances in water, making noise pollution a pervasive but often overlooked stressor for many species.

My research explores how noise affects the behavior, such as feeding and social interactions, as well as the physiological stress responses of freshwater and marine fish. These species play crucial roles in maintaining biodiversity and supporting ecosystems that humans depend on. By bridging insights from both freshwater and marine systems, I aim to uncover patterns that can inform conservation strategies and sustainable management practices.

Through this work, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of how to mitigate human impacts on aquatic ecosystems while promoting the value of scientific research in addressing global environmental challenges!
